NNPC / SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship 2026

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), in partnership with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), has announced the commencement of the 2026 Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for qualified Nigerian graduates.

The scholarship is aimed at supporting academic excellence and developing skilled professionals for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Scholarship Categories

The scholarship is available in two categories:

• Overseas Scholarship – For students seeking admission into reputable international universities.
• Local Scholarship – For students pursuing postgraduate studies in recognized Nigerian universities.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a Nigerian citizen.
• Possess a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) degree from a recognized Nigerian university.
• Have secured admission for a one-year Master’s programme in a recognized local or overseas university.
• Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
• Be below 28 years old by December 31, 2026.

Eligible Courses

The scholarship supports postgraduate studies in fields related to:

• Engineering
• Geosciences
• Petroleum Studies
• Environmental Sciences
• Information Technology
• Finance
• Energy-related disciplines
• Other approved professional courses relevant to the oil and gas industry.

Scholarship Benefits
