After easing off with a rest day on Monday, Nigeria’s Super Falcons recommenced training on Tuesday evening in preparation for their upcoming Group B match against Botswana in the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024.

According to Daily Post, Head coach Justin Madugu scheduled the session at the Wellness Centre in Oulad Salah to begin at 6 pm local time (5 pm Nigeria time), giving media access to brief warm-up drills before closing the rest of the practice behind closed doors

Rest Day Offers Tactical Reset

The break came just after the Falcons’ impressive 3–0 victory over Tunisia in their opener on Sunday. The rest day was designed to help players recover physically and mentally before intensifying training for the match against Botswana .

During Tuesday’s session, Madugu and his coaching staff reviewed set-pieces and defensive shape while restoring smooth transitions from midfield to attack. The team kept the final phase of training closed to the public to maintain competitive secrecy ahead of Thursday’s game.
