The aircraft, which departed Abuja for Kano, was carrying 11 people including three crew members when it crash-landed around 9:30 a.m. local time.
Eyewitnesses told Global Hints that the jet appeared to struggle on final approach.
“It looked unstable as it came in; then it hit hard and skidded,” one airport user said. “But thanks to God and the crew, we all came out safe.” GlobalHints
Airport emergency crews were swiftly on the runway, clearing the area and assisting passengers. Fire crews and paramedics moved quickly to secure the scene and check on everyone involved.
“No casualties have been reported so far,” a rescue official said, adding that the priority was to ensure passengers were safe and assess any injuries before taking them to a secure area for further medical evaluation.
Aviation safety experts note that runway incidents especially those involving private jets often stem from technical or procedural issues during approach and landing. Proper investigation and transparent reporting are critical to preventing future occurrences.
While the crash-landing sparked concern among airport users and travellers in Kano, the fact that all passengers and crew walked away unharmed underscores both the effectiveness of the emergency response and the professionalism of the flight crew.
“It was a frightening moment, but we are grateful that everyone walked away safe,” one passenger told Global Hints.
