Unconfirmed reports circulating online claim that a teenage TikTok personality known as Sule Yellow has been arrested by Nigerian troops over alleged links to banditry activities.
According to multiple social media reports, the arrest reportedly happened late on March 15, shortly after the suspect allegedly collected ransom payments from the family of a kidnapping victim.
However, as of early March 16, there has been no official confirmation from the Nigerian Army regarding the arrest, as per Daily Post

Reports suggest that the operation began after open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysts monitored a video posted on TikTok on March 4.
In the viral clip, Sule Yellow was allegedly seen standing inside a forest stream wearing camouflage clothing alongside suspected bandits.
Security observers claim the video helped investigators determine the possible location of the group operating within forest areas linked to bandit activities.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show a dramatic transformation in the suspect’s behavior.
In earlier TikTok clips, Sule Yellow allegedly portrayed a confident and fearless persona, often appearing armed and surrounded by individuals believed to be bandits.
But in newer videos allegedly recorded after the arrest, the same individual is seen shaking and pleading with soldiers, begging for mercy.
The contrast between the two images quickly spread across Nigerian social media platforms, sparking intense reactions from users.

Online reports have linked the suspect to bandit operations affecting communities in parts of northern and central Nigeria, including areas reportedly connected to Kwara State.
Bandit groups operating in these regions have been known to demand huge ransom payments, sometimes reaching as high as ₦100 million from victims’ families.
Kidnapping for ransom has become one of the major security challenges facing several states across Nigeria.
News of the alleged arrest quickly went viral, with many Nigerians praising the intelligence efforts of security forces.
Some social media users highlighted the role of digital evidence in tracking criminal suspects, while others called for stronger action against individuals who publicly glorify criminal activities online.
However, some observers also urged caution, noting that official confirmation from authorities is still pending.
