K1 de Ultimate Breaks Silence on Blood Sample Controversy with Former Band Member

Fuji music icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, has addressed the controversy stirred by a former band member, Ayanlowo, who accused him of collecting his blood sample without proper explanation.

Speaking during an interview on Agbaletu Radiovision, K1 described the situation as a misunderstanding of a goodwill initiative meant to safeguard the health of his band members and staff.

According to the veteran musician, he had personally arranged and fully financed a comprehensive medical check-up for all his employees, at a cost of N6 million. K1 emphasized that the tests were carried out by certified medical professionals, and he was not directly involved in collecting any blood samples.

“Why would my band member (Ayanlowo) lie against me that I collected his blood sample and he did not know what they wanted to use it for? Was I the one that collected it?” K1 queried. “I only did a good gesture by calling the medicals. I asked them to collect the blood sample of all my band members and staff for general tests.”

He explained that the health checks were purely for the wellbeing of those working with him, with no ulterior motives involved.

Despite the accusations, K1 de Ultimate stated that he bears no grudge against Ayanlowo. He stressed that forgiveness remains a core value for him and reminded listeners that he had played a major role in shaping Ayanlowo’s musical career, even giving him the stage name he now uses.
