“I Never Touched Mohbad”
Sam Larry started the interview with a firm denial.
“Yes, there was an issue. Yes, we had words. But I never laid a finger on Mohbad,” he told VDM.
According to him, the video where he confronted Mohbad at a beach event was misunderstood. It looked aggressive, but he claims it wasn’t violent.
“Zlatan was there,” he said. “He calmed me down. I only wanted to ask about the money.”
The ₦2 Million Wahala
What money? Sam Larry revealed that he paid Mohbad ₦2 million to perform at his mother’s remembrance. But Mohbad didn’t show up. He didn’t refund the cash either.
That’s where the problem started.
“I felt cheated. That’s the truth,” Sam Larry admitted. “But it wasn’t about beef or fight. I just wanted him to do what we agreed or return my money.”

Despite clearing the air, the case is far from over. Mohbad’s father recently filed a new petition in court, and a fresh hearing is set for July 2nd, 2025.
