After INEC Declaration: 10 Promises Charles Soludo Made To Ndi Anambra

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo winner of the 2025 Anambra Governorship Election, marking a new era for the South-East state.

Soludo, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), won with a decisive margin after votes were collated across all 21 LGAs.

According multiple reports, invloving the election figures released by INEC and monitored by Global Hnts, Soludo emerged victorious in what analysts described as a highly strategic and issue-focused campaign.

The declaration was made inside the State Collation Centre in Awka, the Anambra capital.

During his victory speech, Soludo said:

“This mandate is not for Soludo alone it belongs to Ndi Anambra. Together, we will build a homeland we can be proud of.”

As celebration spreads across the state, attention now shifts to Soludo’s blueprint for governance, which he describes as a mission, not a political career move.

Soludo’s Governance Agenda

Soludo has consistently emphasized that his administration will be evaluated not by talks or slogans, but by visible transformation on ground.

He told journalists during a policy dialogue session:

“Judge Soludo by what you see. Judge Soludo by infrastructure, by jobs created, by how safe you feel.”

Unlike most politicians who rely on general promises, Soludo laid out measurable indicators for development:

• Economic transformation of Anambra

• Security built on technology

• Youth-driven innovation and job creation

• Modern infrastructure and urban renewal

• Healthcare and education upgrades

Political analysts believe Soludo’s background as former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) places him in a unique position to apply technocratic governance to state development.

Soludo’s Economic Masterplan: “Destination Anambra”

Economics remains Soludo’s strongest suit. His long-term vision is to transform Anambra into a regional production and industrial powerhouse.

Soludo refers to this economic transformation as:

“The African Dubai–Taiwan Model.”

According to The Guardian, Soludo plans to establish industrial clusters across Nnewi, Onitsha, and Awka, where manufacturing and digital innovation can thrive. The focus is on supporting small businesses, exporting products, and making Anambra attractive for investors.

Soludo said during the final campaign rally:

“Anambra youths are creators, not job seekers. My job is to build the ecosystem that will help them fly.”

Soludo’s Security Vision 

Security was a hot campaign topic, and Soludo promised a technology-driven approach.

According to Premium Times analysis of his security proposal, Soludo plans to:

• Deploy surveillance cameras in strategic areas

• Introduce drone-assisted patrols

• Set up a high-alert security response unit

• Strengthen community and intelligence-based policing

Soludo emphasized:

“Without security, there is no development. Every investor will follow safety.”

Soludo on Youth Empowerment and Education Reform

Soludo has made youth development a priority. His plan includes establishing a Skill and Innovation Fund to support young entrepreneurs.

Education reform also stands at the center of Soludo’s vision. He promises digital classrooms, teacher retraining, and modern curriculums tailored to innovation and technology.

“We must prepare children for the future, not for the past,” Soludo said while addressing students at a debate monitored by Channels TV.

Soludo’s Human Development Plan

Soludo has laid out plans to upgrade hospitals, especially rural health centers, to reduce medical tourism. Roads, drainage systems, and urban planning are also set for restructuring.

Awka, Onitsha, and Nnewi will undergo urban modernization, including:

• Street lighting

• Traffic management systems

• Cleaner drainage and waste management

Soludo insists that his administration will operate with transparency and accountability:

“Every kobo spent will be visible to Ndi Anambra. Soludo is here to show results.”

Soludo Has the Mandate, Now the Execution Begins

For Ndi Anambra, expectations are high  and so is hope. Soludo has the credibility, the plan, and the mandate. The next four years will determine whether Soludo’s bold vision becomes reality.

As one voter in Awka put it:

“We voted for Soludo because Soludo has ideas. Now Soludo must deliver.”
